The age of this door knob/handle escutcheon is unknown. It is made of cast brass (not plated) and measures 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The stepped hole in the center is 9/16" on the outside and 1/2" on the inside. The mounting holes are 1 11/16" apart at the hole centers. The depth is 1/2". The escutcheon weighs 3 1/2 ounces (100 grams).
